I Am Thankful

I am thankful,
always.
I am thankful for being alive.
I am thankful for the sunrises,
and the sunsets.
I am thankful for the breaths in,
and the breaths out.
I am thankful for my health,
and the ability to love my body.
I am thankful to have a safe little home,
a roof over my head,
a fridge full of food.
I am thankful for my tribe – those who make me feel loved and admired.
I am thankful that I am surrounded by so much positivity,
encouragement,
and love.
I am thankful for the stress of school – it’s just a reminder of how lucky I am to be getting this education.
I am thankful for all the opportunities that come my way.
I am thankful for the ability to manifest the things that I desire,
the things that allow my life to unfold just as it needs to.
I am thankful for intimacy,
for the moments I will never take for granted,
never under appreciate.
I am thankful for challenges that make me grow.
I am thankful for the ability to recognize that I am in control of my own happiness,
and that I have done just that.
I am thankful for my ability to be vulnerable,
to be strange and weird and free.
I am thankful to be exactly who I am,
and to have people support and encourage that.
I am thankful for my ability to love so hard,
open my heart so wide,
 and never regret it.
I am thankful for laughing and smiling and appreciating the little things,
just as much as the big things.
I am thankful for my family.
For the sweet comments my momma makes about there being ‘more Paige in the world’,
the way my daddy calls me ‘sweetheart’,
the way my sister loves me so unconditionally.
I am thankful for every single person in my life.
I am thankful for my ability to become emotional over this gratitude.
I am thankful,
always.
